Motion Disabled: Unlimited

A huge sculpture of a disabled sports person that asks us to think about what is normal and what is different.

Taking the motion of the modern day disabled athlete, the Paralympian, Simon McKeown uses Hollywood technology to create 3D avatars that invite you to find the beauty, the exotic and the normal within their movements and physical form. His work stretches in new directions as he takes his artistic vision large-scale, using new technology and 3D software to record bodyshapes and actions to createan inflatable, 11 metre tall sculpture of a disabled athlete, as he continues to explore the borders between normality and difference and to celebrate the movement of disabled people.
